Malayalam actress Ahaana Krishna and cinematographer Nimish Ravi have confirmed they got married after weeks of rumours. The duo got married on 13 September 2026, at a traditional ceremony in Kerala.
Ms. Ahaana took to social media to share the news on September 15 along with photographs from the wedding. Mr.Nimish also confirmed the wedding date in another social media post.
Sharing her heartfelt post about the photographer she married, Ahaana wrote that they went on a decade-long journey together. She said that she first met him when she was 20 years and got married when she turned 30.
Captioning the post, she wrote, ‘My Best Friend, Boy Friend, Partner, Soul-Mate, Comfort Pillow, Cup Cake and now Husband.’ She went on to write that when she is with him her heart ‘always beats slow, steady and just right.’
The wedding reception was held at Kovalam in Thiruvananthapuram. It was earlier reported that the wedding celebrations will be held over three days at Taj Kovalam, before the reception on September 15 at Subramaniam Hall, Vazhuthacaud.
Ahaana Krishna wore a red kanjivaram saree for the wedding ceremony. She said she had something red planned and that they finally settled on ‘the saree of my dreams.’ Reportedly, she wore a saree by Joel Jacob Mathew’ label. As for Nimish, he sported a cream-coloured outfit for the occasion.
Expressing gratitude to everyone who helped pull off the wedding of her dreams, she wrote, ‘Over the past few months…An INCREDIBLE army of people have planned, executed and had fun envisioning the wedding of my dreams with me.’ She went on to thank everyone including those in the fields of event management, photography, venue, wardrobe, makeup and florals.
Rumours of the wedding were rife for weeks. Malayalam film industry grapevine had it that the couple was getting married on September 13. Much of the speculation was further fuelled after it was reported that Kannada actor Rishab Shetty and wife were spotted in Thiruvananthapuram. Nimish is cinematographing for Rishab Shetty’s upcoming film ‘Jai Hanuman.’
Adding to the rumours was Kerala Cultural Affairs Minister P C Vishnunath. He had posted a picture with Ahaana and Nimish at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, weeks before the confirmation. The wedding was officially confirmed hours after the picture surfaced online.
Ms. Ahaana Krishna is the elder daughter of actor Krishna Kumar and has three younger sisters. She made her acting debut with Rajeev Ravi directorial Malayalam film ‘Njan Steve Lopez,’ starring Farhaan Faasil. Her other films include ‘Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela,’ ‘Pathinettam Padi,’ ‘Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum’ and ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.’ Prior to her acting career, she has established herself as a YouTuber and social media influencer. She has over three million followers on Instagram.
Mr. Nimish Ravi is a cinematographer who has worked in films such as ‘Rorschach,’ ‘King of Kotha,’ ‘Lucky Baskhar’ and most recently the Suriya starrer ‘Vishwanath & Sons.’ He was the cinematographer for Ahaana’s ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra,’ in which she had a cameo.
Ms. Ahaana kept details of her relationship with Nimish under wraps on social media. In comparison, her younger sister Diya Krishna was extremely vocal about her relationship with husband and photographer Dushyanth Parameswaran on social media.
Fans and celebrities have reacted to the couple’s wedding announcement on social media, pouring love on the couple’s pictures. Actress Manju Warrier wrote, ‘Congratulations to you both.’ Actress Malavika Mohanan wrote, ‘Congratulations Ahaana!’
