Bigg Boss Telugu 10 kicked off with a twist as host Nagarjuna Akkineni introduced the season’ grand first avatar Mahapariksha and announced that none of the 16 contestants in the house are official housemates as of now. Telugu Bigg Boss 2026’s tenth season began on September 06, 2026, with Nagarjuna hosting the season for the seventh year in a row.
BBT 10 will follow a Dasavataram theme with every week themed around a new avatar and a new set of games. Each week will introduce a new avatar with game twists. Week 1 tasks will be titled Mahapariksha Week and all contestants will be put through their paces as they fight for a chance to become official housemates.
Addressing the contestants Nagarjuna locked the doors to the Bigg Boss house and said, “See you next Saturday. Until then, its Mahapariksha for all of you.”
Telugu Bigg Boss 10 begun with a total of 16 contestants, including 10 celebrities and six commoners who were chosen during pre-show selections in Bigg Boss Agnipariksha.
Celebrity contestants- Krishnudu, Temper Vamsi, Adith Eswaran, television artists Debjani Modak, Chaithra Rai, Mukesh Gowda and Varshini Sounderajan, comedian Contessa Paulini, comedy artists Auto Ram Prasad and Potti Naresh and anchor Sudheer Reddy are the ten celebrities in the house.
Aman Masood, Rohith Naidu Patnam, Shalini Patel, RJ Charan Mahadev, Srushti Vyakaranam and folk artist Jhansi are the six commoners who made it to the house as part of Bigg Boss Telugu 10. Jhansi won a nomination during Agnipariksha to enter the main house.
After launching the show, Nagarjuna also took screen-time to address hosts of other South Indian Bigg Boss versions Mohanlal, Sudeepa and Vijay Sethupathi for a much-awaited crossover.
Magical Keys with Special Powers
The first twist named Mahapariksha revolves around ten Magical Keys. Contestants can possess Magical Keys that will decide if they’re official housemates or still remain on the line. Eight contestants already have their Magical Keys based on tasks. Two Magical Keys are yet to be given away.
Bigg Boss commanded the eight contestants with keys to pick two housemates out of the remaining contestants to gift Magical Keys. After much deliberation, the house members picked Temper Vamsi and Krishnudu to get the Magical Keys.
Only contestants with Magical Keys will be permitted to use the bedrooms. Bigg Boss called each key holder into his room separately and bestowed secret super powers on them. However, they are not allowed to reveal their powers to any housemate.
Few of the Super Powers include Thrigun’s power to steal someone’s power, Varshini gets someone else’s win, Shalini gets to impose a house duty on someone and Naresh will get double votes for nominations.
First Conflicts Emerge
As a part of Mahapariksha tasks, contestants were tasked with electing two housemates as leaders. Rohit emerged with four votes while Ram Prasad and Thrigun got three votes each. However, Thrigun sacrificed his chance and promoted Ram Prasad as the other leader.
During a conversation, Thrigun pointed out that all four contestants who voted for Rohit as leader came in as Agnipariksha housemates. This sparked the house’ first fierce fight as Agnipariksha housemates were not too pleased with the theory of already having a formed group.
No contestants are safe this first week as all contestants are on the line. The house already went from introductions to fighting for their lives. Mahapariksha along with secret magical powers are certain to keep the pressure high as Bigg Boss Telugu 10 kicks off the game.
The regular telecast of Bigg Boss Telugu will air on Star Maa channels from Monday to Friday at 9: 30 PM and weekend episodes with Nagarjuna will begin at 9 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. JioHotstar will offer 24×7 live streams of the Bigg Boss Telugu 10 house.
