Wildcard contestant Shibna has been evicted from Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 as part of the Week 3 public vote. The announcement was made on the weekend episode that went on-air Sunday, September 27, 2026, trimming the list of contestants to just 19 in the Mohanlal-hosted reality show.
Entering the house in Week 2 as one of two wildcard contestants for season 8, Shibna became the housemate alongside Tashi Raj. For some time, the wildcard contestants fought as one combined player until host Mohanlal announced they would now be considered separate.
Shibna’s elimination is season 8’s fourth public vote eviction. She now joins housemates Dhanya (Kaali), Rini Ann George, and Sreelaya in departing from the Bigg Boss house. Gayathri R Suresh had also temporarily left the house following a house captain’s decision but returned to play the game once again.
There were ten contestants on the nomination list for Week 3. Along with Shibna, the other nominated contestants were Sumesh Chandran, Gautham G Sasi, Rakesh Jacob, Shijin S, Jaseela Parveen, Gayathri R Suresh, Kadal Komban, Aishwarya Madhu and Mridhula Vijai.
For the eviction task, nominated contestants stood inside the activity area where they pulled strings connected to pieces of cloth covering a board with their verdicts. In Week 3, Shibna was up against Jaseela Parveen in the final round. When they pulled the string at the same time, Shibna saw that her picture revealed that she had been eliminated.
Taking her eviction hard, Shibna appeared shell-shocked as she left the house expressing her disbelief about the turn of events. Later in conversation with Mohanlal, she added that she respected the verdict of the viewers.
While speaking about her game on-stage with host Mohanlal, Shibna admitted that she spoke straight to people’ faces and accepted that her gameplay might have gone against her during public voting. ‘My identity is that I say things straight to everyone’s face. I don’t play safe like most of the housemates do. I’m happy that I gave my 100 percent. I wish I could have spent more time. I wanted to show something real gameplay that the Malayali audience has never seen. But yeah, I’m happy I could be there for two weeks,’ Shibna told the host.
Shibna went on to say that she felt her gameplay might have cost her during voting. She thanked the viewers who voted for her and reasserted that she did give it her all while she was in the house.\
Host Mohanlal praised Shibna for her gameplay and told her that she was one of the best players in season 8. ‘Shibna, you are inspirational to many others. What a 21-year-old girl can do in two weeks,’ Mohanlal said while consoling Shibna.
As Shibna watched a video recap of her time in Bigg Boss, she began crying. Mohanlal pulled her into his arms and consoled her during her vulnerable moment.
Entering Bigg Boss Season 8 through the Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha auditions, Shibna was considered one of the strongest players going into the selection process. Also entering the house as a wildcard was Tashi Raj. Tashi works as a digital strategist, while Shibna is a model by profession.
Moving forward, the remaining housemates will continue with their game as the weeks progress. With 19 housemates left in the competition, a new week will bring a new set of tasks, nominations, and votes from the viewing public.
